Just ten minutes before the outdoor ceremony on what was, up until then, a beautiful day, it started to pour. And not just a little, a lot. Jill was getting her dress on at the time, and everyone was doing their best to downplay how bad it really was, and how everything was going to be fine. Meanwhile, all of the guests start moving the chairs into the tent on the other side of the property, all while being rained on. Then we waited…

So what good is rain on a wedding day? Well in this case it showed how all of Jill and Mike’s friends and family came together to help move chairs and decorations (not once, but twice!) to make sure their day went as perfect as possible. This is what weddings are about.

A big thanks goes out to Kelly Lawson for second shooting this wedding with me.
